Reviews

"This book provides a thorough coverage of the OCR syllabus and is written in a clear and accessible style that will appeal to both students and teachers. Definitions are clear; studies are simply explained and evaluated. There are lots of activities, pictures and examples that will really help the student to understand psychology and relate it to real life." - Jane Scampion, experienced examiner

"With exam hints, examples, and illustrations, this is an informative and readable textbook which provides the student with ample opportunity to extend their knowledge and understanding of GCSE psychology." - Elle Boag, teacher of OCR GCSE Psychology, Totton College

"Written in exceptionally clear and student-friendly language, this book offers comprehensive coverage of the OCR specification. Each chapter includes a range of activities to engage the student and ensure that learning is easy and enjoyable. Key studies are sub-headed for clarity and the definitions included in the main text help the student to break through the barrier of psychological jargon." - Alex Banks, Director for Teaching & Learning, Totton College

"As a teacher, I found this an excellent text, and it hasn't left my desk since ordering it. I have found it especially useful with weaker members of my class as they find the layout easier to follow than those of some of the other textbooks available for the course. Within each section, the keywords provide a basic understanding for the students and can help to add to their glossaries, and there's an extremely useful coursework and methods section at the back. Overall a very good book. I would recommend it to students and teachers alike. Could also be used by AS students getting to grips with a new subject." - amazon.co.uk customer review
